Short Term Rental Regulation Amendments

With hundreds of STR's in our neighborhoods, we are seeing the ripple effects through loss of housing stock for families to buy or rent, reduced school enrollment, and degradation of our neighborhoods.

We need to put some guardrails on STR's while being mindful of the need to have some transient housing in the community, and support the millitary rental market,

I have a proposal to close the loophole that centers around cumulative occupancy limitations. A system that has proven effective in other communities around the country.

Protect & Enhance Ft Getty

The revenue stream generated by Ft. Getty is not something we should be abandoning.

We should invest in the future of the park and enhance its amenities so islanders, mobile and permanent, can enjoy it while we protect and grow the revenue stream it produces.

A voice for the shores

The Jamestown Shores have for generations been treated as less important than the Village.

I support sustainable investment in the neighborhood that is the backbone of our community.

Support Public Safety

I don't think it will come as a surprise that I am a strong supporter of public safety. We need to ensure that the JFD & JPD have the resources needed to continue to provide the exceptional level of service that we have come to expect.

That being said, I stand in staunch opposition to the use of surveillance technology and ALPR's from Flock, Axon, Motorola, etc. Under no circumstances will I ever support their use or installation in Jamestown.

Support Jamestown Schools

Our schools are widely recognized as the best in the region and are the cornerstone of our community. That is a direct result of the support they receive from the community, and the excellence that is commonplace in the classrooms. We MUST continue to invest in education to ensure the next generation of kids are afforded the same opportunities for growth and support.
